Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 and the burden-bearers 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
