Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
