The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. 42 Are your infidels better than these? Or is there an immunity for you in the Writs? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 The evil-doers are victims of error and madness. 47 The day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire: 'Taste now the touch of Sakar!' 48 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. 49 And Our command is only a fleeting one – like the batting of an eyelid. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you; is there any that will remember? 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers, 54 In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. 55
