And warnings came in truth unto the house of Pharaoh 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 [Yet] the hosts [of those who deny the truth] shall be routed, and they shall turn their backs [in flight]! 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 Our commandment is but one word, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind? 51 All their deeds are recorded in their books: 52 everything, be it great or small, is recorded. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 in a seat of truth, in the presence of a Sovereign who determines all things. 55
