He it is Who hath made the earth unto you subservient, so go forth in the regions thereof, and eat of His provision. And unto Him is the Resurrection. 15 Have ye taken security from Him Who is in the heaven that He will not cause the earth to swallow you when lo! it is convulsed? 16 Do you feel secure that the One in heaven will not send against you a whirlwind to pelt you with stones, so that you will know how [true] My warning was? 17 Those before them had also denied. And how was My punishment then! 18 Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread and [sometimes] folded in? None holds them [aloft] except the Most Merciful. Indeed He is, of all things, Seeing. 19 Or, who is it that shall be your host to help you, other than the Merciful? Indeed, the unbelievers are only deluded. 20 Or who is it that will give you sustenance if He should withhold His sustenance? Nay! they persist in disdain and aversion. 21 Can one who walks with his head hanging down be better guided that one who walks with his head upright? 22 Say, "It is He who has produced you and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful." 23 Say: He it is Who multiplieth you in the earth, and unto Whom ye will be gathered. 24 And they say: when will this promise be fulfilled, if ye say sooth? 25 Proclaim, “Surely Allah has its knowledge; and I am only a Herald of plain warning.” 26 Yet in the end, when they shall see that [fulfilment] close at hand, the faces of those who were bent on denying the truth will be stricken with grief; and they will be told, "This it is that you were [so derisively] calling for!" 27 Say: "Just think: If God destroys me and those with me, or is benevolent to us, who will then protect the unbelievers from a painful doom?" 28 Say: "He is (Allah) Most Gracious: We have believed in Him, and on Him have we put our trust: So, soon will ye know which (of us) it is that is in manifest error." 29 Say, "Have you considered if your water were to sink into the ground, who could then bring you flowing water?" 30
