For, behold, it is the God-conscious [alone] whom gardens of bliss await with their Sustainer: 34 What, shall we make those who have surrendered like to the sinners? 35 What is the matter with you? How ill do you judge! 36 Is there a Book for you, from which you read? 37 That ye shall have, through it whatever ye choose? 38 Or you have oaths from Us, reaching to the Day of Resurrection that yours will be what you judge. 39 Ask them, which of them will guarantee that! 40 Or, do they have associates? Then let them bring their associates, if what they say is true! 41 Upon the day when the leg shall be bared, and they shall be summoned to bow themselves, but they cannot; 42 Downcast will be their looks; abjectness will overspread them. Surely they had been called upon to prostrate themselves while yet they were whole. 43 Let Me alone with him who belieth this discourse; step by step We lead them on when they perceive not. 44 And I will grant them a respite. Verily, My Plan is strong. 45 Or do you ask from them a reward, so that they are burdened with debt? 46 Or [do they think] that the hidden reality [of all that exists] is within their grasp, so that [in time] they can write it down? 47 So wait with patience for the Command of thy Lord, and be not like the Companion of the Fish,- when he cried out in agony. 48 Had not Grace from his Lord reached him, he would indeed have been cast off on the naked shore, in disgrace. 49 Then his Lord chose him, and He made him of the good. 50 And lo! those who disbelieve would fain disconcert thee with their eyes when they hear the Reminder, and they say: Lo! he is indeed mad; 51 although this is nothing but an Exhortation (to goodness) for everyone in the world. 52
