But no; I swear by what you see, 38 And that which you do not see. 39 That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger. 40 It is not the word of a poet but only a few of you have faith, 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer -- how little you reflect! 42 [it is] a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds. 43 Now if he [whom We have entrusted with it] had dared to attribute some [of his own] sayings unto Us, 44 We would surely have seized him by the right hand, 45 and would indeed have cut his life-vein, 46 And not one of you would have been able to stop (Us). 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 And indeed, We know that among you are deniers. 49 yet, behold, this [rejection] will indeed become a source of bitter regret for all who deny the truth [of God's revelation] 50 But verily it is Truth of assured certainty. 51 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Almighty. 52
