Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It has been revealed to me that a group (from three to ten in number) of jinns listened (to this Quran). They said: 'Verily! We have heard a wonderful Recital (this Quran)! 1 which guides to the right path; so we have believed in it and we will not associate anyone with our Lord, 2 and exalted is the majesty of our Lord, He has taken neither a wife nor a son. 3 The ignorant fool among us has spoken outrageously against Allah, 4 And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie. 5 ‘And indeed some men among humans used to take the protection of some men among jinns, so it further increased their haughtiness.’ 6 Those people thought, like you, that God would never send down a Messenger. 7 "We went near the heavens but found it to be full of strong guards and shooting flames. 8 we used to take up a position to listen, but whoever listens now finds a flaming fire lying in wait for him -- 9 And we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth guidance for them. 10 And some of us are the righteous, and some of us are otherwise; we are sects differing. 11 We knew that we could never challenge God whether we stayed on earth or fled elsewhere. 12 And when we heard the Message of guidance, we believed therein; and whosoever believeth in his Lord, he shall fear neither diminution nor wrong. 13 ‘And that some among us are Muslims and some are the unjust; and whoever has accepted Islam – it is they who have thought rightly.’ 14 But those who are iniquitous will be fuel for Hell. 15 If people were to keep firmly to the Right Way, We would have vouchsafed them abundant rain 16 as a trial for them. God will make those who disregard the guidance from their Lord suffer increasing torment. 17 The places of worship belong to God; so call not, along with God, upon anyone. 18 (It has been revealed to me that) When the slave of Allah (Muhammad SAW) stood up invoking (his Lord Allah) in prayer to Him they (the jinns) just made round him a dense crowd as if sticking one over the other (in order to listen to the Prophet's recitation). 19
