By no means! By the moon, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 a warning to humankind, 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 about the guilty ones: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Till death overtook us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
