I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 a warning to mortal man 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 From the guilty. 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 until death approached us". 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
