Nay, by the Moon 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
