Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
