Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place the womb. 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 And those that revive by quickening, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 And those that bring down the Reminder 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
