The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 By the angels hastening, 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
