Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars darken, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And the close of night, 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
