The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
