The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
