The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
