The Embryo (Al-Alaq)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 for he believes himself to be self-sufficient. 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
