Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
