The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the racers, panting, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
