The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
