Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Hast thou observed him who belieth religion? 1 That is he who repelleth the orphan, 2 and who does not urge the feeding of the poor? 3 So woe to those who pray 4 but whose hearts are not in their prayer. 5 who show off (his good deeds) 6 And withhold the necessaries of life. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
