Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Perish the hands of AbiLahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
