We did not create this heaven and earth and all that lies between them in vain. That is the fancy of those who denied the Truth. So woe from the Fire to all who deny the Truth. 27 Shall We treat those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, as Mufsidun (those who associate partners in worship with Allah and commit crimes) on earth? Or shall We treat the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2), as the Fujjar (criminals, disbelievers, wicked, etc)? 28 It is a Blessed Book that We have sent down to you (Prophet Muhammad), so that those possessed with minds might ponder its verses and remember. 29 We bestowed upon David (an illustrious son), Solomon. How excellent a servant (of Ours he was)! Indeed he constantly turned to Us in devotion. 30 When fast footed steeds were presented to him at evening. 31 he said, "My love of horses for the cause of God has made me continue watching them until sunset, thus making me miss my prayer". 32 "Bring them back unto me!" - and would [lovingly] stroke their legs and their necks. 33 And We certainly tried Solomon and placed on his throne a body; then he returned. 34 He said: "My Lord! Forgive me, and bestow upon me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me: Verily, You are the Bestower." 35 So We made the wind subservient unto him, setting fair by his command whithersoever he intended. 36 And We subjected to him the evil ones: every builder and diver. 37 And many others bound in bond. 38 We said: "This is Our gift, so give or withhold as you wish without reckoning." 39 He has a high position with Us and an excellent abode. 40
