In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Allah has caused the works of those who disbelieve and hinder people from the way of Allah to go to waste. 1 But those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and believe in that which is sent down to Muhammad (SAW), for it is the truth from their Lord, He will expiate from them their sins, and will make good their state. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, while those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allah set forth their parables for mankind. 3 So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make (them) prisoners, and afterwards either set them free as a favor or let them ransom (themselves) until the war terminates. That (shall be so); and if Allah had pleased He would certainly have exacted what is due from them, but that He may try some of you by means of others; and (as for) those who are slain in the way of Allah, He will by no means allow their deeds to perish. 4 He will guide them and set right their state. 5 And admit them to Paradise, which He has made known to them. 6 O People who Believe! If you help the religion of Allah, He will help you and will stabilise you. 7 And those who disbelieve, downfall shall be theirs, and He shall send astray their works. 8 That is because they are averse to that which Allah hath revealed, therefor maketh He their actions fruitless. 9 ۞ Have they not travelled through the land and seen the terrible end of those who lived before them? God brought upon them utter destruction and the disbelievers will also face similar perdition. 10 That is because Allah is the Maula (Lord, Master, Helper, Protector, etc.) of those who believe, and the disbelievers have no Maula (lord, master, helper, protector, etc.). 11
