Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
No, by the moon! 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 a warning to humankind, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 who will be in Paradise 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 we fed not the needy, 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
