By the moon 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 From the guilty. 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 we fed not the needy, 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
