The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 By the angels hastening, 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
