Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
