Therefore remind! by thy Lord's blessing thou art not a soothsayer neither possessed. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters." 31 is it their minds that prompt them [to say] this, or are they merely insolent people? 32 Or do they say: "He himself has composed this [message]"? Nay, but they are not willing to believe! 33 Then let them bring a discourse like it, if they speak truly. 34 Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain. 36 Or do they have your Lord's treasures in their keeping? Or have absolute authority over them? 37 Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority. 38 Or has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are overburdened by a debt? 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot! 42 Or have they a god, other than God? Glory be to God, above that which they associate! 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 Therefore leave them, until they confront their day, in which they will be stunned. 45 A day on which their scheming will not benefit them at all, nor will they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 and exalt Him in the night and at the declining of the stars. 49
