The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is sundered. 1 in obedience to the commands of their Lord which are incumbent on them, 2 when the earth flattens out, 3 and casts forth whatever is in it, and becomes utterly void, 4 And it listens to the command of its Lord and that befits it. 5 Thou, verily, O man, art working toward thy Lord a work which thou wilt meet (in His presence). 6 Then as to him who shall be given his book in his right hand 7 he will in time be called to account with an easy accounting, 8 And will return unto his folk in joy. 9 But whosoever is given his Record behind his back, 10 shall call for destruction 11 But will be roasted in the fire. 12 Verily he was among his people joyous. 13 Truly, did he think that he would not have to return (to Us)! 14 Why not? His Lord was always watching him. 15 I swear by the glow of sunset, 16 by the night and what it covers, 17 And by the moon when it is at the full, 18 Surely ye shall ride layer upon layer. 19 So, wherefore do they not believe? 20 And that, when the Qur'an is read unto them, they prostrate not them-selves! ۩ 21 Nay, (on the contrary), those who disbelieve, belie (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and whatever he brought, i.e. this Quran and Islamic Monotheism, etc.). 22 And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves. 23 So announce to them a Penalty Grievous, 24 But for those who believe and do good works; for them there shall be a never-ending reward. 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
