Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 until you come to the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8
