Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30
