And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 which the truthful spirit has carried down 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 verily, [even] from hearing it are they utterly debarred! 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
