The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 you are only a mortal like us. Indeed we believe that you are an utter liar. 186 Then drop down on us lumps from heaven, if thou art one of the truthful.' 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
