The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 The rising dawn, 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
