So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 he said: "Behold, you are people unknown [here]!" 62 They said, "No, but we bring you news about what they disputed, 63 “And we have brought to you a true command, and indeed we are truthful.” 64 Leave the town with your family sometime during the night. Walk behind them and let no one turn around. Proceed as you are commanded." 65 We informed him that the unbelievers would be utterly destroyed. 66 The people of the town rejoicingly 67 Said Lot: "These are my guests; do not put me to shame, 68 Fear God and do not shame me." 69 They replied: 'Have we not forbidden you (the people of) the worlds' 70 Lot exclaimed in exasperation: "If you are bent on doing something, then here are my daughters." 71 By your life! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication. 72 An explosion struck them at sunrise. 73 And We utterly confounded them, and We rained upon them stones of heated clay. 74 Surely! In this are signs, for those who see (or understand or learn the lessons from the Signs of Allah). 75 This (city) lies on a road that still survives. 76 surely in this there is a sign for those who believe. 77 And the people of Aykah were also wrong-doers. 78 So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see. 79
