T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
