The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
