And remember thou Our bondman Ayyub, what time he cried unto his Lord: verily the Satan hath touched me with affliction and suffering. 41 We said, "Stamp your foot! Here is cool water for you to wash in and drink," 42 We gave him back his family and doubled their number as a blessing from Us and as a reminder to the people of understanding. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 for, verily, We purified them by means of a thought most pure: the remembrance of the life to come. 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 And make mention of Ishmael and Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. All are of the chosen. 48 This is a Reminder, and indeed for the cautious is a fine return, 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ And with them are those of modest gaze, companions. 52 This it is what you (Al-Muttaqun - the pious) are promised for the Day of Reckoning! 53 (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish; 54 All of this; but, for the proud there is an ill return. 55 They will suffer in hell. What a terrible dwelling! 56 This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges. 57 And other similar torments. 58 Here is an army rushing blindly with you. (Those who are already in the Fire say): No word of welcome for them. Lo! they will roast at the Fire. 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
