Al-Mu' minoon 3 of 6
And the eminent among his people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter while We had given them luxury in the worldly life said, "This is not but a man like yourselves. He eats of that from which you eat and drinks of what you drink. 33 "If you were to obey a human being like yourselves, then verily! You indeed would be losers. 34 Does he promise you that when you are dead and are reduced to dust and bones, you will be brought forth to life? 35 ۞ How far-fetched what you are promised; 36 There is naught but our life in this world; we die and we live and we shall not be raised again. 37 He is nothing but a man who has forged against Allah a lie, we will never believe him' 38 (The prophet) said: "O my Lord! help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood." 39 [And God] would say: "After a little while they will surely be smitten with remorse!" 40 And then the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them, justly and unavoidably, and We caused them to become as the flotsam of dead leaves and the scum borne on the surface of a torrent: and so - away with those evildoing folk! 41 AND AFTER them We gave rise to new generations: 42 No people can hasten their term, nor can they delay (it). 43 Then We sent Our Messengers in succession, every time there came to a nation their Messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another (to destruction), and We made them as Ahadith (the true stories for mankind to learn a lesson from them). So away with a people who believe not. 44 Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron, with Our Signs and authority manifest, 45 To Firon and his chiefs, but they behaved haughtily and they were an insolent people. 46 They said, "Are we to believe in two human beings like ourselves, while their people are subject to us?" 47 Then they belied the twain; so they became of those who were destroyed. 48 And certainly We gave Musa the Book that they may follow a right direction. 49 We made the son of Mary and his mother a miracle and settled them on a high land, quite secure and watered by a spring. 50
