And when thy Lord called Moses, saying: Go unto the wrongdoing folk, 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 He said: "O my Lord! I do fear that they will charge me with falsehood: 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds, 16 That you should send the children of Israel with us.' 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 [Moses] said, "I did it, then, while I was of those astray. 20 I fled from you because I feared you. But my Lord has given me judgment and made me one of the Messengers. 21 And [as for] that favour of which thou so tauntingly remindest me - [was it not] due to thy having enslaved the children of Israel?" 22 Fir'awn said: and what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 He said, 'The Lord of the heavens and earth, and what between them is, if you have faith.' 24 [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?" 25 Moses continued, "He is the Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 Said Firaun, “If you ascribe any one else as a God other than me, I will surely imprison you.” 29 He said: What! even if I bring to you something manifest? 30 Said he, 'Bring it then, if thou art of the truthful.' 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33
