۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Fir'aun (Pharaoh) sent callers to (all) the cities. 53 'Behold, these are a small troop, 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 "But we are a multitude amply fore-warned." 56 We therefore got them out from the gardens and water springs. 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable place. 58 Thus (were those things taken from them) and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two hosts came in view of each other, Moses' companions said: 'We have been reached' 61 'No, indeed' he replied, 'my Lord is with me and He will guide me' 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And We brought the others close to that place. 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 68
