۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities musterers: 53 'These' they said, 'are a small band, 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 and we are a host on our guard.' 56 We deprived them (the unbelievers) of gardens, springs, 57 and their treasures and excellent dwellings. 58 Thus we let the Israelites inherit them all. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two bodies saw each other, the people of Moses said: "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Moses said: "Certainly not. My Lord is with me; He will direct me." 62 Thereupon We inspired Moses thus: Strike the sea with thy staff!" - whereupon it parted, and each part appeared like a mountain vast. 63 Then brought We near the others to that place. 64 We delivered Moses and every one with him, 65 And We drowned the others. 66 In this [story] behold, there is a message [unto all men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 67 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 68
