In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
O THOU human being! 1 By the wise Qur'an, 2 Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers, 3 On the Straight Path. 4 the sending down of the All-mighty, the All-wise, 5 In order that thou mayest admonish a people, whose fathers had received no admonition, and who therefore remain heedless (of the Signs of Allah). 6 The sentence is surely justified against most of them, for they do not believe. 7 We will certainly put iron collars on their heel's which will come up to their chins, so that they will not be able to raise their heads. 8 and We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier; and We have covered them, so they do not see. 9 It is the same to them whether you warn them or you warn them not, they will not believe. 10 Thou canst [truly] warn only him who is willing to take the reminder to heart, and who stands in awe of the Most Gracious although He is beyond the reach of human perception: unto such, then, give the glad tiding of [God's] forgiveness and of a most excellent reward! 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
