The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 [It will occur] on the Day when men will be like moths swarming in confusion, 4 And mountains will be like flying wool. 5 Then he whose scales weigh heavier 6 will live a pleasant life, 7 But as for him whose deeds are light on the scales, 8 His refuge will be an abyss. 9 And what will make you know what it is? 10 A burning fire. 11
