Hizb 46

AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
