(Muhammad), recall Our servant Job. When he prayed to his Lord saying, "Satan has afflicted me with hardship and torment," 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 And We granted to him his family and also the like of them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to people of understanding, 43 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord). 44 Remember also Our servants Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- men of might they and of vision. 45 We distinguished them for the distinct remembrance of the abode (of the Hereafter). 46 They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good. 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 This is a Message (of admonition): and verily, for the righteous, is a beautiful Place of (Final) Return,- 49 They will enter gardens of Eden with their gates open for them. 50 Reclining within them, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And with them are those of modest gaze, companions. 52 This is what you were promised on the Day of Reckoning: 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 This (shall be so); and most surely there is an evil resort for the inordinate ones; 55 Hell, wherein they roast: a wretched couch. 56 This is for the criminals – so that they may taste it – boiling hot water and pus. 57 And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" 63 That most surely is the truth: the contending one with another of the inmates of the fire. 64
