And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment, 30 From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 and gave them such signs [of Our grace] as would clearly presage a test. 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 It was not in play that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to another, nor shall any be helped, 41 Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 42
