Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 and those that apportion [the gift of life] at [God's] behest! 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
